Andrew Hall, a security guard from Bournemouth, got in touch with the Bing team and asked them if they would help him create an extra special wedding proposal for his girlfriend, Katie Paton. The Bing team thought it was a fantastic idea and called upon KSA Performing Arts students to create an all singing and dancing marriage proposal in Bournemouth's town centre.
The Bing Is For Doing campaign is all about asking what people of Britain really want to be doing and making some of the best suggestions come true, whether it’s fulfilling a childhood dream of climbing a tree in the Amazon or helping them achieve a memorable wedding proposal.
Bing UK has a really heart-warming video detailing the proposal which features Andrew and Katie walking hand in hand in Bournemouth’s busy town centre, when they stumble upon a ‘busker’ singing Soldier by Gavin DeGraw, the couple’s special song. Wowed by it the couple stop to listen. Suddenly a waitress accompanies the busker, before a street sweeper joins in! Within moments a procession of people are singing to the couple, including Katie’s mother and father. Andrew then gets down on one knee and proposes – happily Katie accepts!
KSA Course Director Phillip Short says "What a fantastic opportunity for KSA to be part of this event for one of the world's biggest companies. Apart from friends and family, the cast was exclusively KSA. Part of our ethos is that we want our students to gain as much experience as possible, in order to be prepared for the future professional careers. Our students were fantastic and we were very proud of how professional they were. We have had a great response from all over the world".
